Sorry for the silent blog for the last 4 days! Monday through Wednesday, I was at an important all day meeting that included a dinner each night. Those meetings wreak havoc on a fitness plan! I actually managed to get up every morning to be at the gym when it opened at 5 am - AAARRRGGGHHH! So I was able to log an hour of cardio all 3 mornings and make it home to shower and get to the meetings by 8 am!
Then I brought snacks to the meetings in my snack bag, so I could avoid the multitude of food temptations. At the dinners, I avoided "adult beverages" which the other meeting attendees indulged in heavily! I passed on the bread baskets. I stayed with salads, grilled fish and steamed veges. For desert (yes, everyone else ordered it!) I ordered nude fresh berries and they were delicious!
So, I got through the 3 days unscathed. I was able to work with my trainer last night and it was great!
I am excited for my Saturday morning weigh in....did I just say I was excited to step on the scale???? YEP!
My goal this weekend is to catch up on sleeep. The research tells us that our bodies metabolize much better when we are well rested!
